#LightTheWorld
#LightTheWorld2019 has taught me a lot of things this month. Each morning I would get a text to do something to make the world better. I wasn't successful everyday, but I did my best. I strived to be better each day. One thing I noticed for about 8 of the days was that I could plan to do something and the text I would get would be something to do with what I was already planning o do. All that did was strengthen my testimony that Jesus lives and that each day I need to strive to be like Him.

Caldwell Walking Bridge...
This spot is a little walking bridge here in Caldwell. As I was getting on the bridge I started to notice that everytime a truck would drive under it that it would shake more than I was comfortable with haha. I am extremely afraid of heights and knew I wasnt going to on this bridge for a long time.
This type of photo leaves the shutter open for 30 seconds then it takes another 30 seconds for it to display on the screen. So for each time I would take a picture it would take 1 min before I could move on to take another. I was so cold and so anxious to get off the bridge that I rushed myself. I should have taken the time to review the photo and realize that I wanted the angles of the chain link to line up with the median in the road.
In John 8 The Savior was put in a difficult situation and was asked a difficult question. In vs 8 he stopped to ponder and reflect.
In life we will go though hard times, times that we don't want to be in and just want to move on. We need to take the time to stop and reflect on those moments and find out ways that we can improve. That's the only way we can grow and overcome those difficult situations.

Alderman Mine...
We sang this song in sacrament today
"The Lord is my light; then why should I fear By day and by night his presence is near. He is my salvation from sorrow and sin; This blessed assurance the Spirit doth bring."
As I was thinking about the lyrics I was going back to photography(something I know very little about but really enjoy doing) natural light can be used in many different ways. The lighting can change quickly and can give you a wide variety in the same 10 min window.
These pictures are different is many ways but the one thing they have in common is the light source. That is what is constant, and will never change.
I'm grateful for the light my savior gives me on a daily basis. Some days it's different than others and some times it seems to not be the lighting I want but if I'm patient it turns out to be the light I'm needing.
I know my Savior lives!

Hay Day...
I have driven by this old barn thousands of times. This time when I drove I was wondering what it looked like bak in its "Hay Day" pun intended. Over time its owner and purpose has been changed. For me it's just a cool pic. But it remains a barn and never changes what is just how it's seen by others and how it's been used.
I am grateful for the scriptures we have today. The meaning we get from a scripture maybe different for different people or different for us depending where we are at in life. But there is one thing that will never change the truthfulness of them and the impact they can make on us when we read them and apply their teachings to our lives.

Meridian Idaho Temple
The joy we receive when we go through a difficult time and the Lord comes to us to lift us up is tremendous. But there will be times in our lives in which we will need to go to Him. Those feelings of knowing we had the strength to go to Him will be ones we will carry with us forever.
